2011 NBA Playoffs - Where Sh*t Happens...

Wow is all I can really say about these playoffs. A co-worker described it as NCAA March Madness with all the surprising upsets that have taken place. The Spurs...ELIMINATED! The Magic...ELIMINATED! MY NEW YORK KNICKS GOT SWEPT PEOPLE!!!!!! Oh for the love of Bobby and Whitney I thought we were going to at least make it to the second round? What's up with that???

After seeing the Lakers get swept and the Celtics looking too old to hang with the Heat, it looks like the changing of the guard has begun and will be completed in these playoffs. It was bound to happen sooner or later but I have never seen anything like it. So many young teams already looking like serious contenders for years to come.
I really thought this would be the year Kobe might tie Jordan with six championships. Who knows if he'll make it back to the Finals before his career is up. From what I saw, if he still has to play with Pau Gasol he doesn't have a shot in hell. Gasol and Chris Bosh go back and forth when it comes to being the softest player in the league. Tim Duncan and the Spurs had a good run in the early 2000s but are basically destined for a rebuilding project for the next 3 or 4 years. The Celtics basically traded away their title hopes for this year when they gift wrapped and shipped Kendrick Perkins to the Thunder. A lot of good teams with good players  who had a good run. All good things must come to an end.

So who got next? LeBron and Wade have the Heat in position to dominate the East for years to come. Out West I thought Durant and the Thunder would succeed after Kobe and Duncan retire. Nobody, including myself, thought the Grizzlies would make a compelling argument for relevancy now or ever.

I gotta go with the Heat. LeBron and D-Wade on court chemistry has stepped up in these playoffs.  They look like they figured out how to co-exist and that means trouble. If they can dump that clown Bosh and bring in a real power forward or some multiple solid players then its a wrap. With the way things are panning out in the West its an open field.

What do you guys think? Let's talk about it.

Which of these remaining teams do you think is the next to dominate the league?
Heat
Bulls
Thunder
Grizzlies
Mavericks
Hawks
Celtics
