It should come to no surprise to a lot of you that I love Mary Jane. Sh*t I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of you guys loved her as much, or more, as me. Mary got your back when sh*t is crazy. She may not have the answers to your problem but she can keep you from going on a b*tch slapping spree. She sure does with my black a$$.
When it comes to the music I listen to when I'm high my a$$ is picky. Chopped and screwed is always a good listen depending on the artists (Three 6 Mafia's shit chopped up is always a good listen). Smooth and old school R&B is perfect when you're in a good high. Now if you're having a rough day and need to escape for a couple of hours, hip hop is the perfect getaway. With the right kind of bud combined with some solid production and lyricism you feel like you snuck into the theater and are watching some crazy good a$$ movie that you would have paid to watch.
Two artists pop out of my mind when it comes hip hip and stoners: Devin The Dude and Kid Cudi. Both are some good artists who have love for some good weed. I heard recently Kid Cudi is no longer smoking but I ain't buying it. He might be saying that just to get people off his back about him occasionally spazzing out in public. Hmmmmm, makes you wonder what he be smoking. Anyways, I'm fairly positive Devin is still puffing.
Both guys seems like they're your artists favorite artists. When their the featured on the song its rarely a situation that the song didn't need their contribution but rather the song would not be as good without them. Their both very unique but they do share similar qualities musically. Their flows both have that melodic, laid back vibe that Snoop Dogg made famous back in the day. Their lyrics are on point and some of the best you'll hear from an artist/weed enthusiast.
So who you got in this match up? Devin The Dude? Kid Cudi? Let's talk about it.
