On Blast - Female R&B Singers

I have beef with the whole R&B game altogether but this post is focused solely on the ladies.  What I can't stand is that nowadays you hear more about which NBA baller is banging them out than a banging new song on the radio.  It seems like the female R&B singer is more dead than the female rapper at this point.

You go on these gossip sites and you see photos of Ciara comfy with New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire.  Wasn't CiCi dropped from her label this year???  Plus I'm a Knicks fan so I was pissed when we got swept by the Celtics.  Stoudemire didn't even make any noise because he caught an injury early on in the playoffs.  Back spasms???  I wonder from what?  The two need a break from each other so they can focus on their day jobs.

Then there's Keyshia Cole getting married to a bench player from the Cleveland Cavaliers.  You couldn't pull somebody from a team that matters???  I hope its real love because you haven't had a hit to me since that song you did with Game.  There's something about Cleveland.  It just seems like they have a curse or some bad mojo going on.  I wasn't surprised when LeBron left for Miami.

Where the hell has Mya been.  I've been saying this for a minute.  She did her thing when she first came out but has been MIA for a minute.  The only time you see her is when MTO has some nice pics of her showing off her ass or legs.  But where's the album???  In fact, why hasn't she been seen in public with a dude??? I don't think she's an lesbian or celibate.  Maybe she's private or a retired jumpoff or something.  Regardless, I hope she comes back someday.

What do you guys think?  Who else has fallen off to you? Do you think when it comes to R&B, female vocalists have lost their way?
