Right off the top of my head this quote is saying if you focus on the positive, and with a little common sense, then good things may happen. I said MAY because nothing is guaranteed in life except your death. You may not have the greatest life or anywhere close to the life you have envisioned for yourself but you will not have the worst kind of life imaginable, ignoring any unseen tragedy. Usually, when you keep your mind right and do what you have to do when the situation calls for it you rarely end up on a path of unfortunate events.
Now what if you are one with "impure mind?" Are you automatically destined for sh*t to happen to you? Not necessarily. You can have a dirty mind and still have a "clean" life. At the end of the day, your actions and how the world accepts you will determine your fate. This is where common sense plays a role.
Some may call it a conscious, but I see common sense more as an "Idiot Filter." You can be the smartest person at your school, in your family or at work but can still be the dumbest muthaf*cka that ever lived. People without common sense are those types who can have the truth smacked upside their head and still wouldn't know what hit them. To some people, I'll call them borderline, think that some people lacking common sense are pure in heart and should be appreciated for their "innocence." NOOOOOOO!!!! That's bullsh*t to me and to those that think that sort of way will not know what I mean by "borderline." The only thing innocent about them might be there criminal record but some of the sh*t they say or do on a daily basis should get their a$$es locked up.
