Some Of These Old A$$ Athletes Need To Know When To Fold Them

It's sad seeing an athlete who use to dominate their sport become a shell of their former self. Most fans and journalists would love to see a superstar leave the game before the game leaves them. That's rarely the case these days.

In recent memory, the last athlete to go out decent was NBA player Reggie Miller. Dude was the all-time three-point shot maker until Ray Allen surpassed him. He'll go down as one of the pure shooters in the league and one of the few who started and ended their career with the team that drafted him. He was old man by sports standards when he hanged it up but he could still knock down the big shots in the clutch. The Celtics even tried to get him to come back after he hanged it up. Seeing the Big Three and Reggie on the same team would had probably gave Boston a couple of titles. Unlike most of his fellow players, including Michael Jordan, Miller knew when to go.

Today, Shaquille O'Neal, arguably the most dominant Center to ever play the game, announced his retirement via twitter:

Shaq should had called it quits years ago. He really should had retired after D-Wade gave him his fourth title gift wrapped when he played for the Heat. Like most players, he couldn't walk away from the fame and the lifestyle. More than anything, he wasn't about to leave money on the table. The past few years, he's been out with injuries than games played. He was basically in these playoffs with Boston, to quote Evelyn from Basketball Wives, "A non-motherf*cking factor." He knew it, his team knew it and so did the all the fans who watched him hobbling around like he was a one legged man in an a$$ kicking contest.

Then you got Roy Jones Jr. WTF Roy!?!?!?!?!? You should've stopped fighting after the second time you got knocked out. I heard a while ago that Roy met Fat Joe in a bar and went up to him to voice his displeasure with a Fat Joe verse that went along like "Even Roy Jones was forced to lean back." Fat Joe basically told him the sh*t is true and I agree. Roy should had let the sh*t go. He's lucky Joey Crack didn't make it three in the row. Check out the ending to Roy's latest fight below:

D*mn D*mn D*MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN!!!!!!! Case closed.

What do you guys think? Who else needs to go sit their a$$es down somewhere?
