I'm sure a lot of you heard and believe the sayings "You can't save someone who don't want to be be saved" "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it." If you are one of those optimistic, captain save a whatever than this post is for you.
Seeing someone who's too blind and ignant (yeah I meant ignant) to see their own mistakes and fix them is like a re-run for me at this point in my life. Nobody's perfect. Sh************t we all know I ain't. But for a lot of us, letting a problem grow is not an option. Its better to get it out of the way before it gets out of control. For some people, that can be a problem they don't realize they have. People like this tend to be in denial about themselves and the opinions of people in their lives.
Have you ever told a piece of sh*t that they were a piece of sh*t? I have on several occasions. The more you tell them about themselves the more they don't hear you. After a while they think you're the one with the problem or you're "hating" on them. I've had crackheads tell me straight up I was hating on them. WTF does a crackhead have to hate???? CRACK??? I'm BigBlackBuddha dammit!!!! If it ain't green I ain't smoking it. If I don't got the green to get the green I can leave it alone. You ain't gonna catch me or any self-respecting pot head sucking some d*ck for some weed. GTFOH.
The ending of the quote is dead on. No matter how much help, advice or support you get from someone you gotta do all the work. The help or advice you receive should not be your crutch but your compass. All the advice in the world can't tell you where you're going in life. Its suppose to help you figure answer that question for yourself.
