When I read this article over the weekend it reminded me that there are a lot of f*cked up things going on in the world.
Not knocking anybody's homeland or beliefs, but stories like the sh*t I read (To read the article click here) makes me a strong believer that someone's interpretation of faith can be more dangerous than someone's political allegiance.
You rarely hear about a dude being accused of witchcraft or sorcery. The closest thing a guy can do that is considered ungodly would be to hurt children. I mean in some parts of the world crimes against women are barely frowned upon. The people involved in the attack of the woman and her husband will more likely face praise than prosecution.
Violent acts against women is not a new concept. The perpetrators who defend it always think its for the good of their cause, their like minded people or for their own agenda. My country likes to think they've outgrown such senseless beliefs but domestic violence is still a serious problem, and crime, across the country. I wouldn't be surprised if there were remote sites nationwide whose customs or beliefs rival those of the people mentioned in the article. We simply don't report it or don't want to be catch with the shovel used for burying bullsh*t.
What did you guys think about the article?
Let's talk about it.
