Movies That Don't F*cking Suck!!!!!! - The International Edition

Good music, good food, good blog sites (We Miss You Piff!!!!!) are so hard to find these days. But this post isn't talking about music, food, blogs or whatever. This is about movies. Good a$$ movies are so f*cking hard to find. You go to the movie theaters, drop $10 or more on some movie that had a so-so trailer, mixed reviews and a cast who seem like they flunked theater school. Before the movie is over you realize that you wasted 90 to 120 minutes of your life. Unless you were getting high or getting f*cked during the movie the whole experience was a fail. Going to the video store or a DVD kiosk is even worse. Once upon a time, you could count on movies to let you escape the real world and CTFU. Now you gotta be a detective in order to find anything worth plopping down for.

Whatever happened to the old saying "the punishment should fit the crime" or "match the crime" or however its suppose to go. The Code of Hammurabi talk about "Eye for eye, tooth for tooth." Before I learned that in History my folks were always telling me if someone hits you you hit them back, but harder. What can I say, when it comes to people, especially Blacks, we don't f*ck with that tit for tat. If somebody comes at us we come back harder. That's calling it even in our eyes. Sh*******t, we didn't start it but we sure as hell will finish it.

Spike Lee (Old School) vs Tyler Perry (New School)
Just recently I got a chance to watch Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls on television. Going in I didn't know what to expect. All I knew was Idris Elba of The Wire fame was in it. I knew he wasn't going to be playing a Stringer Bell-like character so I was ready for anything. It was a good movie overall. The story was ok and the actors' performances were straight. Yet for some reason I couldn't shake this feeling of "EHHHHHH."
